I'm Barbara Smith-Hester. I first got started taking pictures as a youth in 4-H where I earned several local and state photography awards. While attending Central Wyoming College, in Riverton, Wyoming, I entered a Collegiate Photo contest, sponsored by Nikon. There were 20,200 entries and even though I was not a winner my picture, "Blackbridge", was one of the few finalists from which the first three places were selected. While attending college I started doing professional work including weddings and family pictures. Some where along the line I met and married a wonderful man, David Scott Hester, We moved to Laramie to continue our education and photography had to take a back seat in my busy schedule. After receiving a degree in business I went to work for Cheyenne Medical Center and in March of 2009 had a baby boy, Brayden Alexander Hester, who is now the subject of most of my photo taking. Below are some examples of my early work and Three recent ones.
